The Martiel Group works in conjunction with FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
FEMA, a federal agency based in the United States, is charged with coordinating a response to disasters occurring in the United States, its states, tribes, and territories both on the mainland and abroad.
While on-the-ground support of disaster recovery efforts is a major part of FEMA’s charter, in reality the agency works in conjunction with private companies, as well as state and local governments, to restore lives and infrastructure back to the way it was before the disaster.
FEMA was established by Presidential Reorganization Plan No. 3 of 1978 and implemented by two Executive Orders on April 1, 1979.
